Blizzard announced today that Overwatch 2 is free to play. What do you all think about the news?
Free to play temporarily or permanently like CSGO? Either way though, I don’t feel like playing Overwatch. I’m more into games like CSGO and Left 4 Dead than Overwatch. But as it’s free, it may not hurt to give it a try…
It’s free like Call of Duty: Warzone. You’ll pay for cosmetics and the battle pass.
It’s a good thing. This means that there are going to be more players, which also means that wait times for a match should get reduced. Although I don’t play much Overwatch these days, I remember waiting for a match took minutes.
I don’t think there will be the amount of players that many people are expecting at the launch of Overwatch 2. Especially with the large amount of games coming out later this year. I feel that due to bad timing, Overwatch 2 will not have the impact that the first one had at the beginning.
