I just checked out Kyle’s review for the new TMNT game - who else has been playing?
I downloaded it off Games Pass the other day and I haven’t gotten a chance to play for long but I think Kyle nailed it, this is -exactly- how the heck you do a throwback, or a reboot, etc. Next to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, I’d say it’s one of the best examples I’ve ever seen of a game that everyone fondly remembered coming back in style, a reboot that hits every single note, checks all the boxes, and gives its fans everything that they could have ever wanted - and more.
It’s not about cashing in on nostalgia and hype, it’s about encapsulating that feeling and building on it. That’s going the extra mile, and then some. I’m here for it.
I’d really like to go through the game in Co-op with someone (or a group of people, ideally)…if anyone’s interested, get at me on XBL @ erotema. I’ll throw down with anyone who’d like to play - I started up as Mikey, but I’d be fine playing as any of 'em. Cowabunga, y’all.
