Vampire: The Masquerade

Vampire: the Masquerade is an old series that is trying to revive itself. I think most would know about the series from “Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines.” However, they now have “choose your path”, virtual novels such as Shadows and Coteries of New York. Both of which I decently enjoyed. They released a battle royal game called Bloodhunt that no one asked for. Swansong is another new release that seems to be similar to games like Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. All of this before they release their big title of Bloodlines 2, which they seem to have either forgotten about or keep delaying. They seem to be throwing darts at a bunch of different genres and seeing what sticks. I’m not necessarily complaining, but I do wish they would just release Bloodlines 2 already.

What VTM games have you guys played? Which titles have been your favorites? Is anyone actually going to play Bloodhunt?

Haven’t played any Vampire games yet. The Masquerade was released in the 2000s right? I don’t know almost anything about the game, but I’ve heard good things about it. As for the new “Bloodhunt”, I’m not interested in it at all. I’m not really into multiplayer games, and there are a lot of those nowadays. I should consider playing The Masquerade. As it’s an older title, I’d be able to buy it for cheap.

I think it was released around the early 2000s yeah. It’s like the Game Vampyr, but has a more open world as well as open RPG mechanics. I think Bloodhunt has already been released and has not even seen a gameplay clip on Youtube or Anything. I don’t know why they even bothered creating that game. It’s not as if we need another battle royal game.

So definitely give Masquerade a play or at least a watch, via playthrough, if you’re into that type of thing. I will say as an older game, it has graphics that are obviously older, and the game can be pretty clunky. I think it thrives best as a Role-Play game with a cool ambiance. It also has a sewer level that has literally made people quit playing it, so that’s something to take note of if you can’t find it for cheap.
