Sony hosted another PlayStation State of Play this week. What game has you most excited?

Resident Evil 4 Remake and Spider-Man PC version. I’ve never played the original RE4, but I’ve heard that it’s quite a game. Also, I’ve seen videos of the original, and it looks quite atmospheric. This one is definitely on my list. Being a PC only gamer, I’ve never played Spider-man. Also looking forward to it. Wonder if it’s better than Batman Arkham City, which is my favourite super hero game of all time.

I might be the odd one out here but I really thought Stray was cute when I first saw it. I’m not a huge fan of the other big titles this time around except maybe Horizon.

I’ve never been one for heavy Sci-Fi but I guess Horizon has a decent blend of older technology I find fun. As for Stray, well, I’ve already mentioned it’s really cute haha - although the platforming gameplay does look very fun too! I like the idea of traversing space we usually wouldn’t see in those types of games.

I’ve thought about getting into Final Fantasy because I usually love RPGs. It’s just a bit intimidating on the lore side I guess, although I have friends who enjoy a few entries of it and keep recommending it.

I feel like most of the games I’m really anticipating are actually indie or smaller team projects this year so that’s unusual for me. It could be down to the lack of releases for the last few years, maybe?

The game that has me most excited would be the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (MWII). It’s not for the reason one might think though. As it is probably evident by now, I grew up on COD, and loved the era where the multiplayer was amazing.

The MP dipped after COD: Ghosts and has not recovered since. The MW remake in 2019 fell flat, and the maps were too big. Plus, thick skill-based match making resulted in that game being too competitive to be enjoyable.

I am not going into this with the high hope or expectation that the multiplayer for MWII will be like the classic Modern Warfare 2 (MW2).

But what has me excited is just getting it out there now and seeing how the game is.

I think what it is more than anything is getting the answers, good or bad. The thought being that the game will be average in campaign and bad multiplayer, but it is the answer that I’m excited about.

Just having an answer if that makes sense.
